George Googasian has successfully tried
lawsuits and served the community for more than 40 years. He serves
as President of our firm.
George is a former president of the State Bar of Michigan (1992-93) and the
Oakland County Bar Association (1985-86) as well as a fellow in the
International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American College of Trial
Lawyers, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has received
major awards for service from the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland
County Bar Association and the American Judicature Society, among other
groups. George also is a past Vice-President of the Oakland County
chapter of the American Inns of Court.
After graduating from the
University of Michigan (B.A., 1958) and Northwestern University Law School
(J.D. 1961), George worked in Detroit as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the
Eastern District of Michigan for the U.S.
Department of Justice in Detroit (1962-64). Since 1964, George has
worked as a private practitioner specializing in trial work. For
more than 25 years, George has almost exclusively represented people in
the pursuit of claims involving catastrophic injury or death.
George is a member of the
State Bar of Michigan and the Oakland County Bar Association, as well as
the American Bar Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Michigan
Trial Lawyers Association.
